How we welcome our learners and families in the beginning of the year can set the tone for meeting your catechetical goals in your sessions. Seeing the significance of gestures and words of welcome early help to create that comfortable learning environment for each child and their family. As the year progresses, your modeling of consideration for each person will help them understand the life of Jesus when they hear stories in the bible. As Jesus met people needing his care and concern in the Gospels, he saw each person as an individual with dignity and met them with respect. This blog post from "Catechist's Journey" offers a way to be attuned to those opening moments when you are meeting your learners for the first time.
Calling Children By Name
